Each of the Scandinavian countries has its favorite iron-baked batter specialty. From Denmark comes this Aebleskiver Pan, which cooks seven puffy little ball-shaped aebleskiver at a time. Aebleskive is a favorite national dish that is sometimes served with spiced red wine. These apple pancakes are either made of a batter containing bits of apple or they are served with applesauce. This cast iron pan is 12 inches long overall and 8 inches in diameter. Each aebleskive cooks in a small, bowl-shaped depression 2.25 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep.
