This Taylor Candy/Jelly/Deep Fry Thermometer consists of a glass tube thermometer that measures 100 degrees to 400 degrees fahrenheit, and is fastened to a flat, 12 1/2" long stainless steel frame. The frame holds the tip of the glass tube half an inch above the floor of any pan by means of a metal clip on the back that clamps on and adjusts to the height of your pan. The scales of this thermometer give markings for Thread, Soft Ball, Hard Ball, Soft Crack, and Hard Crack stages of sugar cookery. This model also gives markings for tempering chocolate. (R5983)
